Mita Sanghavi Goel, MD, MPH is Professor of Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in the Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics. A graduate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident, and of the combined Harvard General Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Mita Sanghavi Goel is a practicing Internist with a long-standing commitment to improving care among diverse patient populations. In her role as an educator, she leads the Health Equity and Advocacy Curriculum for the Feinberg School of Medicine and is Director of the dual MD/MPH program. As a researcher, she has led numerous projects integrating social determinants of health into the clinical setting. She is currently Principal Investigator for a Health Research Services Administration project preparing the primary care workforce to identify and address social needs in clinical practice.
